Ricardo Scucuglia is an associate professor of the Institute of Biosciences, Languages, and Exact Sciences at Sao Paulo State University (UNESP), Campus of Sao Jose do Rio Preto, SP, in Brazil. He is a professor of mathematics education in two graduate programs at UNESP: (a) mathematics education and (b) teaching and formative processes (position as the assistant dean as well). Since 2000, he has been a member of the Research Group on Informatics, Media and Mathematics Education. Dr. Scucuglia has been developing research on the following topics in mathematics education: use of digital technology (including computational thinking), arts and aesthetics, music and audiovisual production, teaching and learning, teacher education, and history and philosophy of mathematics.
